Dr. James is a veteran of the Army with over 45 years of work experience in varied areas. He has been in leadership positions in the army, the United Nations, corporate president, and business schools. Prof. James is a leadership and behavior science specialist with expertise in the complex integration of psychometric tools. Dr. James is a proven academic and a researcher in stress, leadership, cinematic dance and creativity, inspirational language chronic diseases and productivity with publications in these areas in reputed journals. He has authored a solo textbook in Organizational Behaviour (OB), and another with Robbins and Judge, the prima donna authors in OB, both published by Pearson. He has also supervised 6 Ph.D. students. His expertise in leadership was tapped by the IAS Officers Training Academy (Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie). He consulted for them under the aegis of the United Nations Development Project (UNDP) and later wrote 26 cases for leadership development training of the IAS officers using the bitter and sweet field experience of IAS officers.

Dr. James is an experienced administrator in education and business alike and was president, of Indeco Leisure Hotels, the Director Faculty of Studies, the training think tank of the Army, the founding dean of Saintgits Institute of Management, founding president of Travancore Management Association, and Director of Asian School of Business, Trivandrum. He is also a veteran MBA teacher with experience in nationally reputed business schools such as TAPMI, Manipal, IMT, Ghaziabad and Jagdish Sheth School of Management(JAGSoM), Bangalore (all of them with the coveted AACSB accreditation). He has special expertise in competency and outcome-based education for learner success and has played a pivotal role in the AACSB accreditation of TAPMI
and JAGSoM).
