Dr. James is a thoroughbred academician, researcher and academic administrator with commendable experience in national and international academic accreditations. His foray into the academic world commenced as the founding director of Saintgits Institute of Management. After building the school into a robust institution and establishing its doctoral center and leading Travancore Management Association as its founding president, Dr. James has a relatively long tenure in T.A Pai Management Institute, Manipal where he established the Integrated Transformational Leadership Assessment and Development Center, championed AACSB accreditation, solo authored the Organizational Behaviour Text book for MBA published by Pearson, and seeded the PGDM in HR program with simultaneous certification from SHRM, world’s most reputed HR society and guided 3 P.hD students in complex HR topics such use of inspirational language and stock movement, cinematic dance as a tool for enhancing creativity and chronic illness and productivity.
After a brief tenure in IMT, Ghaziabad, Dr. James headed Asian School of Business, brought up its admissions and academic process and then had a tenure in Jagdish Sheth School of Management, Bangalore, led by the noted Prof. Jagdish Sheth, a doyen in consumer behavior where he led the AACSB process of accrediting two campuses located in two different states under two different regulatory framework. While there, he co-authored the text book in OB along with Robbins and Judge, world’s most known authors of OB, once again published by Pearson.
Among his consulting, the most important one is working under the UNDP and consulting for leadership curriculum development and process for Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration where our IAS officers are trained. The work included developing over 26 cases using the experience of IAS officers as resource for their leadership training. He has conducted MDPs for middle and top management professionals of several organizations such as HPCL, NHPC, ICICI Bank, GMR and Manipal Technology.
He has several international publications, is an expert in psychometric diagnostic-driven mentoring.
Dr. James is an architect who shapes young minds to become holistic leaders by celebrating hard work.
