Counsellor, educational psychologist, forensic psychologist, clinical psychologist, occupational psychologist, consumer psychologist, HR executive, sports and exercise psychologist, rehabilitation psychologist, organizational psychologist, child psychologist, geriatric psychologist, defence psychologist, personal counsellor, coach, stress manager and the list goes on endlessly. Where there is a human being there will be need for a psychologist.

Usually people expect you to have a Masters in Psychology before you can embark on a full-fledged career. But you can be assistant to a full-fledged psychologist after your B.Sc. However prepare for a good psychology graduate program. There are many such programs abroad. It is one of the most funded programs in the US and Canada and you can look forward to a fully funded M.S, Ph.D program if you plan to have an outstanding career in psychology.

This program fits a person who has a keen interest in observing people and solving their problems and empowering them. You should have a keen eye for details because you are handling people and you can make no mistakes. You are working with the mind and thought of people. You should have good communication skills so that you can convey to people what you want and convince them. You should be willing to stretch and go beyond to achieve your goals. You will also benefit from ground-level experiments in which you will observe the behaviour of other colleagues outside academic hours, make a hypothesis and test it through scientific methods. You will also learn experimental design of research which is a highly valued competency for a psychology student. If found fit, during your final year you will be making coaching conversations with MBA students.
