Learner Success is our Passion
DC School of Management and Technology (DCSMAT), Vagamon, started in 2002 as a focused management institution located in a remote area in the district of Idukki, Kerala. It’s passion in Learner Success. To this end, the school continuously innovates the content and delivery of programs. For example, the current T-shaped model used to achieve learner success aims at deep intervention to develop a person’s competencies to succeed in life and career. Our students have two positions among the top 10 ranks in the university, and a 100% pass. All these, thanks to the learner success passion of our highly experienced faculty and the faculty to student ratio of 1:12 the school has achieved.
Passion Trumps Predictions
DC School of Management and Technology (DCSMAT), Vagamon, was founded by the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation (DCKF). DC Chacko was a pioneering entrepreneur in publications under the name DC Books. From the beginning, the publisher, now the largest in Malayalam, focused on supporting emerging but little-known authors.
In continuance of the spirit of supporting the talented but less privileged, first-time authors and grooming them into outstanding literary luminaries, through publishing their work, DCKF decided to establish DCSMAT in 2002 as a fully residential management Institute at Pullikanam nestled in the remote Western Ghats, with the twin purpose of developing young minds into leaders in general and business leaders in particular, and to bring the light of development to the area. Many dissuaded the effort and predicted its doom because of the locational disadvantage, but DCSMAT thrives against all predictions and has adorned its MBA with an NBA accreditation in 2024 addition to the NAAC accreditation which it had since last 15 years.
